How long have you been
designing and creating?
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed creating, drawing, and designing
and then building what I have drawn on paper.
I was able to be in a graphic design class in high school about 15 years ago. I learned how to edit vector images, did design work for clubs and school sponsors, things just kept rolling from there.
I attended school at the Art Institute where I was studying film, but that creative outlet got put on hold when I started having children.
Web Design has occasionally been a side hobby, but I missed the hands on application of working with materials I could build.
I recently picked up designing again for a friend and wasn't satisfied with what could be done with just vinyl stickers. Laser cutting and engraving are a grand new world of seeing what I have in my head come to life and I get to play with a laser too!
Where are you located?
I love living here and want to add to the community. The green trees, clean air and fantastic people.
I was on a recent trip to Home Depot with my clan of children (six of them all under age 10) and they were acting as children do, curious, excited and obnoxious. A collaborative effort of jumping on and off the cart caused all of my lumber to dump off the side. I didn't feel any judgment from the people around me. Instead I felt relief, one person jumped in to help hold the littlest child and more helped me get the wood back onto the cart. It was the least anxious I have felt in a very long time!
